LG’s clear warning to anti-nationals: Terrorists, their supporters won’t be spared | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 4: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday gave a clear warning to the anti-national forces that those indulged in terrorizing innocent people would not be spared at any cost. “There is no place for terrorists and their supporters in J&K. Those indulged in terrorism and those supporting such acts would not be spared because Union Territory is now moving ahead with a new vision and new thought”, Lt Governor said while addressing a convention organsied by the Global Strategic Police Foundation, Pune to felicitate the family members of martyrs policemen and soldiers, at SKICC Srinagar. The LG said that he has no words to pay tributes to the policemen and soldiers who have laid down their lives either fighting terrorism or protecting the borders. “It is because of their great sacrifices, we are breathing in free air today. I salute to all the brave men from the police and the Army who sacrificed their lives in line of duty,” the LG said. As per a Kashmir based news agency, the Lt Governor said that the J&K government was working on a new educational policy to incorporate contributions made by the heroes of J&K police and the Army who have made supreme sacrifices fighting terrorism and enemy, in the school curriculum. He said that while J&K was moving ahead with a new vision and new thought, there is “no place for terrorists and its supporters.” He said J&K has received a huge budget for the current year and not a single penny will be misused. “Anyone who is found misusing the budget money will face serious action,” the LG said. Governor of Kerala Arif Muhammad Khan, Chancellor Central University Kashmir Lt. General (Rtd) Syed Atta Hasnain, Siachen hero Lt. General (Rtd) Sanjay Kulkarni and others were present on the occasion. |
