Desh-Bhakt BJP leader under scanner for 'supporting' Parra’s misdeeds
‘Rehabilitating’ anti-nationals in Sports Council:
4/4/2021 11:46:10 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 4: As agencies have started probe into all appointments made by jailed leader Wahid Parra during his tenure as Secretary J&K Sports Council, a senior BJP leader is also under scanner for supporting all ‘misdeeds’ of the youth wing president of the PDP.
Reliable sources said that when Parra was heading J&K Sports Council he acted like undisputed king of the Council as there was no one to keep a watch on his alleged illegal activities. “A self-proclaimed nationalist leader of the BJP had supported Parra as he (BJP leader) wanted to be in the good book of Mehbooba Mufti through Parra”, sources said and revealed that to accomplish his petty personal interest the said BJP leader had maintained a blind-eye and deaf ear towards all misdeeds of Parra.
Sources said that as Secretary of Sports Council Parra had allocated huge funds to some sports bodies which were not existed on the grounds. “Office bearers of these sports bodies were of mysterious character but huge funds were pumped for such bodies dominated by anti-national elements”, sources said and added that the same Desh-Bhakt leader was virtually surrendered before Parra to whom the same leader called with a title ‘Sadhay Saab’.
It was all due to acts of such BJP leaders that Panthers Party leader Harshdev Singh has accused Saffron party leaders with acting like servants of Mehbooba Mufti during PDP-BJP regime.
“Once Mehbooba assumed the office of CM, the BJP legislators and Ministers acted as her domestic servants making one compromises after the other to keep her in good humour deliriously oblivious of the sentiment of Jammu region which voted it to power”
Harshdev has stated two days back.
As reported earlier, intelligence agencies are going through all appointments made by Parra, who had made a large number of backdoor appointments. There was a possibility that some youth with mysterious character were adjusted in the Sports Council in the name of ‘channelizing’ energy of talented youth.
On July 13, 2016, the then PDP-BJP government had sacked the then State Sports Council Secretary Javaid Ahmed Shah from the post over allegations of corruption.
PDP’s youth wing president Waheed Parra was appointed as the new secretary of the council. Parra was already a member of the council.
The decision to sack Javaid Ahmed from the post was taken after a series of allegations were levelled against him by insiders of the council. There were allegations that Javaid Ahmed had diverted Rs 50 crore which was meant for building sports infrastructure in the state.
