JAMMU, Apr 8: ASSOCHAM delegation under the leadership of Kulwin Seehra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Punjab State Development Council meets Alok Shekhar, Principal Secretary – Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab yesterday wherein they highlighted the inputs & suggestions for holistic & industrial development of the state. Briefing the Principal Secretary, Mr Seehra suggested to increase the upper limit of solar plants from 1 MW to 50% of the connected load for manufacturing units and encourage signing FTAs with the EU and the USA to increase the export share in the state. He also added, “We request for proper handholding for the vehicle scrapping units in Ludhiana & Mandi Gobindgarh as this will help to maintain raw material supplies in close proximity for steel and other commodities” After a patient hearing to the delegation, Shekhar appreciated the inputs & suggestions given by ASSOCHAM and assured the consideration & full support to boost the Industrial sector of Punjab. The delegation was comprised of Kulwin Seehra, Chairman Assocham Punjab Development Council, Gourav Mahajan, Regional Director ASSOCHAM Northern Region and Amandeep Singh, Assistant Director & Nodal Officer, ASSOCHAM Punjab Development Council. |
