| Forest Department demolishes illegal structure in Chowadhi area | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 10: A team of Jammu Forest Division, led by Rakeshwar Singh, Range Officer Bahu and Diwakar Singh Block Officer, Chowadhi along with other forest field staff demolished one illegal structure on Forest Land in Forest Compartment No. 8 of Chowadhi Block in an anti-encroachment drive in the presence of Police team led by Vikram Kumar, SDPO, Karan Chalotra SHO Channi Himmat and Duty Magistrate Mohd Saleem, Naib Tehsildar Executive Magistrate Ist Class. Alok Maurya DFO Jammu, supervised the whole operation and mentioned that upon the request of Forest Department, Anshul Garg Deputy Commissioner Jammu and Chandan Kohli, SSP Jammu deployed Police personnel and deputed Duty Magistrate to tackle law and order situation.
In the operation one illegal structure constructed on forest land was demolished and 2 Kanal of Forest land was retrieved.
The higher officers including K Ramesh Kumar and CF East Circle Samuel Changkija appreciated the efforts of the officials and directed to take all the measures to prevent encroachment on Forest Land.
