| Intra-college debate competition in commemoration of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" held | | |  Early Times Report
KALAKOTE, Apr 10: Literary club in collaboration with the NSS unit of GDC Kalakote organized a one-day Intra- College Debate Competition on the topic "India's journey of progress over past 75 years of Independence" in commemoration of "Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav" keeping in view all the SoP's pertaining to Covid-19 Pandemic.
Principal GDC Kalakote, Romesh Kumar Gupta was the chief guest at the event. The programme began with Shehzad Ahmed (co-ordinator NSS unit) presenting the welcome address and also briefly introducing the topic of the debate.
The judges for this competition were Anayat-ullah-Khan (HOD Arabics), Pinkey Rakwal (HOD Economics) and Sanjogita Kumari ( HOD Hindi).
The speakers while speaking on the topic talked about the various aspects of India's journey towards the path of progress and development. Moreover, they portrayed a vivid picture of this journey .
The speaker were judged on various parameters and Pratibha Gupta(B.A Sem 1st), Pankaj Singh (B.A Sem 3rd) and Ashu Devi (B.A Sem 5th) secured the 1st,2nd,3rd positions respectively.
Addressing the students, Pinkey Rakwal appreciated the students for their participation with such great enthusiasm. She also talked at length about the progress India has made over these years and the targets we are yet to achieve.
Also, speaking on the event, Principal, Romesh Kumar Gupta appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee. He also briefed the students about the progress and development our country has made since Independence and why we should take pride of being the citizens of such great Nation. |
