| ZSWO holds grievances redressal programme at Akhnoor | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 10: Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO), Akhnoor Col JS Randhawa (Retd) along with his team held monthly grievances redressal programme at Akhnoor. He along with his team listened to grievances of ex-servicemen and their dependents related to pensions, Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Canteen Store Department, Smart and ECHS Cards, correction in name and date of birth of spouse/widow/wards, incentive for gallantry awards, penury grant etc. Lt Col Bana Ram (Retd), Hony Capt Santosh Kumar (Retd), Hony Capt Bodh Raj (Retd) and Ex-servicemen demanded that the office of Zila Sainik Welfare Officer of Akhnoor Sub-Division should function from Akhnoor and not from Ambphalla, Jammu. Col JS Randhawa assured ex-servicemen that the Rajya Sainik Board is committed to address all problems of ex-servicemen and their dependents especially residing in remote and inaccessible border towns. The office at Akhnoor will drastically reduce hardships faced by ESM and Veer Naris residing in villages along the Line of Control. The UT administration has advertised the posts and vacancies for Welfare Organisers for Sainik Welfare Directorate and these vacancies will be filled shortly. The office of Zila Sainik Welfare will be shifted to Akhnoor on recruitment of Welfare Organizers. |
