Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 10: Continuing its initiative "Har Ghar Congress", a mass public outreach programme was held by Congress at Billawar under the leadership of former Minister and President District Congress Committee Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma.
The programme was chaired and attended by galaxy of senior party leaders including ex- DyCM Tara Chand, former ministers- GM Sarori, Jugal Kishore, RS Chib and Gharu Ram Choudhary, Ch Akram (ex-MLA), Subash Gupta (ex-MLC), Jahangir Mir (ex- MLC), Naresh Gupta (ex-MLC), Salman Nizami, Varun Magotra, DS Bindu, Amolak Singh, Adv Ashok Sharma, Adv Maheshwar Singh, Rajinder Prasad Sharma, Vinod Mishra, Ashwani Handa, Jagjyot Singh, Ankush Raina and others.
While speaking on the occasion, former DyCM Tara Chand said that today masses of the country and J&K are suffering due to anti-people policies of Modi government. He said Congress will fight for the rights of people of J&K and this outreach programme of "Har Ghar Congress" has been launched for mass contact with people and make them aware of anti-people policies of BJP government.
While welcoming all the senior leaders, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that J&K especially Jammu witnessed lot of development when GN Azad was the chief minister of J&K. During Azad's tenure lot of developmental projects were carried out for Jammu such as creation of new districts, Medical Colleges, AIIMS and much more but during BJP- PDP government state witnessed no development and was driven to back foot i.e from a state to an UT. He further said that people are now fed up with BJP and want to see the golden era of development under leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad again.
Speaking on the occasion, GM Saroori said that Congress party will not keep quiet unless Statehood to J&K restored and told BJP to stop experimenting with J&K and conduct early elections as people problems are not being solved due to absence of assembly in J&K. He said BJP's atrocities have now crossed the limit and people are suffering a lot.
Former Ministers RS Chib and Gharum Ram Choudhary, ex-MLCs Naresh Gupta and Subash Gupta besides other leaders also addressed the gathering.
