Administration denied permission to NC for holding protest over growing unemployment

JAMMU, Apr 10: District Administration Kishtwar denied the permission to main opposition party National Conference to hold a protest in favour of the unemployed youths who are being denied job opportunities in under construction power projects in Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, in response to an application with regard to the grant of permission for public rally/ protest on 10-4-2021 I.e today, Deputy Commission Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma on the bases of the report submitted by SSP Kishtwar denied the permission to NC.
"In response to your application vide this office letter No. DM/K/21/251-52 Dated 8-4-2021, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar was requested to furnish the comments in the matter which has been received vide No. SSPK/VB/PER/21/33 Dated 9-4-2021. In wake of recent surge in positive cases, it is not feasible to grant permission for public rally/protest in consonance with COVID-19 SOP's/Protocol." Read the letter of DC Kishtwar addressed to District President NC Kishtwar sighting ground as reason for denying the permission for holding the protest cum public rally in Kishtwar today.
Talking to Early Times, senior National Conference leader said that the administration is playing in the hands of BJP added that the project managements in Kishtwar District are playing with the emotions of the unemployed youths who are eagerly waiting for job opportunities in these power projects.
"Non local are being given opportunities in jobs over local unemployed youths- our qualified engineers are without jobs- in simple words BJP is putting the aspirations of local unemployed youths on fire by denying jobs to them in under construction power projects" said Imtiyaz Zarger, Senior NC leader.
Zargar said power project management is playing with fire by denying jobs to local unemployed youths. He said that the anger among the youths is simmering and warn the power project management to not test the patience of the unemployed youths of Kishtwar District and urged them to do justice with the unemployed youths of the District before it spills on the streets of Kishtwar District. He said that they will again approach the administration in near future for holding a protest rally in case the project management fail to address the issue of unemployed youths.
