Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 11 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Apr 17: Police claimed to have foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued 11 bovine animals, who are illegally being transported to Kashmir valley. Acting on a special tip off, a team of Police Station Chatroo led by Inspector Sandeep Parihar laid a special naka at Singhpora. During checking, police halted two vehicles of Mahindra made bearing registration number JK17-A 0318 and JK02BV 1036 for searches. During checking, 11 bovine animals were found loaded in the two vehicles without any valid permission. All the 11 bovine animals were rescued. Police said that accused namely Bashir Ahmed S/o Gh Ahmed Malik R/o Malikpura Zaingam Tehsil Kokernag, Fayaz Ahmed S/o Ghulam Ahmed Kumar R/o Kralpora Cheeki Teh Kokernag, Mohd Aslam S/o Bashir Ahmed Bumal R/o Halnar Chatroo and Mohd Aslam S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Dellar Chatroo were arrested on spot. In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Chatroo and further investigation is underway. |
