Hina Shafi Bhat inspects KVIB units at Reasi

REASI, Apr 17: Vice Chairperson (VC) J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Dr Hina Shafi Bhat today visited District Reasi to inspect KVIB units established under Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP). She was accompanied by Secretary/CEO KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadri, DyCEO KVIB Administration Masroor Ahmad Shah, District Officer KVIB Reasi Dr Sandeep Kotwal and other senior officers of the KVIB.
Dr Bhat along with her KVIB officer's team conducted several contact/interaction programmes in the surrounding areas of Reasi and Katra. Unemployed educated youths were appealed to avail benefits of schemes being implemented by KVIB. Later, Dr Hina Bhat inaugurated/inspected several KVIB units financed under JKREGP and PMEGP schemes. These included, Service Station, Furniture Store, Readymade Garments Store, Beauty Parlours, Tent House, Mobile repairing shops etc. During the occasion it was informed that J&K KVIB under PMEGP during the year 2020-21 against the physical targets of 39 units and financial targets of Rs.117.06 lakh has sanctioned Margin Money amounting to Rs. 104.70 lakh to 55 units, thus achieving physical achievement of 141.03 lakh and financial achievement of 89.44%. Similarly against the targets of 33 numbers of units under JKREGP involving Margin money of Rs. 66.00 lakh, 46 numbers of units amounting to Rs.96.60 Margin money have been sanctioned till date in District Reasi thus achieving 139.39 lakh physically and 146.36 % financially providing employment to 139.39% youths.
