Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 19: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association (JKTMA) held under the chairmanship of state president Rakesh Singh and State General secretary Vivek Gupta discussed the issues of transfer policy and DPC of teachers community.
Rakesh Singh hailed the work culture of Administrative secretary B.K Singh to issue the transfer lists of Lecturers in most transparent manner in the history of education department which puts an end to transfer Industry and expresses high hope to issue transfer list of General line teachers shortly.
Singh urged the Administrative secretary to consider certain demands to make this transfer more fruitful and productive.
" Transfer list of categories such as inter-district ,Marriage, Spouse posting etc. should be issued prior to General list of mature stay and in mature stay all the teachers having stay of at least four years should be reshuffled as per their residence mentioned in their service books keeping in view their last three places of posting and special consideration should be given to those teachers who served in very hard zones for more than 4 years, " he said.
Vivek Gupta demanded that DPC of all the cadres of teaching staff should be done before June to fulfill the vacant posts particularly in rural areas as it has been found that hundreds of lectures posts are lying vacant in Higher secondary schools which is adversely affecting the studies of govt schools students particularly in rural areas where there is no facility of private tutorials and students have to be solely dependent on Govt Lectures for their studies
State vice president urged that all the Post graduate degrees of science which are obtained through distance mode and where enrollment is after December 2005 should be declared invalid for DPC keeping in view govt order 252 -HE and SRO 339 which states that " all science degrees acquired through distance mode and where enrollment is after December 2005 are invalid " but one time exemption is given to those who enrolled in the said course by or before December 2005.
