Jammu, Apr 19: Convenor, United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Jammu and Kashmir, Rajiv Mahajan asked J&K administration to set up disinfectant tunnels to sanitize people in public places amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Questing Jammu Municipal Corporation over whereabouts the disinfectant tunnels, built by thousands of rupees, installed by it during the first phase of covid-19 pandemic at various places in Jammu, Rajiv Mahajan where are those disinfectant tunnels gone. He said disinfectant tunnels are needed for the hour as the second phase of COVID-19 is more dangerous from the first Phase. In order to sanitise people from any possible bacteria, Rajiv Mahajan asked Mayor JMC to install disinfectant tunnels at all vital points since the places of worship, malls, theatres, public transport, hospitals, schools have the need of disinfection systems. He also cautioned people that the tunnel was only a supplement to other precautions like washing hands and maintaining social distancing.
