PMO should sack Dr Jitendra Singh: Tony
Says Randhawa busted ‘corruption crusader’ balloon of BJP, exposed party’s duplicity
5/4/2021 11:08:41 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 4: DDC member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony on Tuesday sought resignation of MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh against whom the serious allegations of corruption were leveled by former MLC and BJP leader Vikram Randhawa
In a statement issued here today, the DDC Member said that the accusations made by the senior BJP leader against his own party’s central minister for nurturing corruption is a serious matter and calls for thorough probe from an independent agency having credible image. He said that by adopting conventional tactics of forming the party's internal disciplinary committee will not absolve the union minister and official of the Mining Department from the serious allegations leveled by the minister’s party colleague. He said that former MLC has busted the corruption crusader balloon of BJP and unveiled the duplicity of the party which on one side never gets tired of boasting that there is zero tolerance against corruption in the party and on the other side its Central Minister is allegedly grooming corruption to the hilt.
Tony also said that the whole Geology & Mining Department has been involved in neck-deep corruption and a thorough probe can only bring to fore the truth. He said it’s quite sufficient that the senior BJP leader himself revealed the height of corruption in the J&K.
“There could be no such example of treachery in the history of India wherein those boasting of honesty and nationalism were themselves found involved in deep-rooted corruption”, he said adding that nothing could be more unfortunate than this is happening in the country. He said that today sand trolley costs Rs 3,500-Rs 4000 instead of Rs 800-Rs 1000 in J&K. “The big question is where the extra amount is going when the mining is banned and there is no provision to credit even a penny in state exchequer?”
He asked adding that to come clear Dr Jitendra has to pass the litmus test of probe by a central agency or else the former MLC has already cleared the cloud of ambiguity.
He appealed to the Prime Minister to immediately sack the MoS PMO until he gets cleared of the allegations leveled against him by former legislator through a formal probe conducted by an independent agency.
