MoS in PMO must resign for fair probe: Col (Retd) JP Singh | Allegations of corruption on Jitendra Singh | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 8: Serious charges of corruption against the minister in PMO are resonating in the social and print media since yesterday, stated Chairman DSSESM Cell, Col (Retd) JP Singh. In a statement issued here today, Col (Retd) JP Singh said that it has caught the attention of the public firstly because the allegations are from a former legislator of his own party i.e. BJP and a gentleman of high public standing, secondly, the minister happens to be from J&K where rampant corruption in the administration is the talk of the town and thirdly because he is in the PMO working under/with the Prime Minister who happens to be a popular leader because of his impeccable integrity. He said that public expects PM to take cognizance of the charges against his subordinate minister and approve CBI investigation in this case. Truth must comes out in this particular case is the clarion call in society. The case is similar to the case in Maharashtra where DGP labeled corruption charges against his Home Minister Deshmukh who was supposed to be working closely with the CM. This outraged the public compelling the CM to order CBI probe, Singh said, adding that the minister was asked to resign so that impartial investigations could be held. With Maharashtra as recent precedence, the MoS in the PMO must resign for the sake of impartial probe for his own probity. Allegations of collecting illegal money through middlemen by those who are in the govt is outrageous. Besides cleaning the rot in the administration impartial probe in this case shall uphold public trust in the leadership of PM, he said. |
