Hitting the nail on its head
5/4/2021 11:35:04 PM
The Jammu and Kashmir administration taking a tough stand against the terror friendly employees has created ripples in the Valley.
During the past few days a teacher and a Naib Tehsildar have been terminated from services for their involvement in the anti-national activities. And this just seems to be a beginning.
During the erstwhile PDP led regime many such elements had managed to enter into the system whose credentials were doubtful as the PDP leaders went out of way to appease the Jamaat activists, who had supported the party during the 2014 assembly elections. After Mehbobba Mufti took over the reins of Jammu and Kashmir she announced general amnesty to more than 9000 stone-pelters. The separatist leanings of the Mehbooba led regime encouraged the government employees to openly come forward and support the activities of anti-national elements. However, after J&K’s transition into a Union Territory things have changed. First step which the government took was to clip the wings of terror friendly political leaders. These politicians have been held accountable. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in its charge sheet has accused the PDP of providing funds to Hurriyat to keep the pot boiling after the killing of Hizbul-Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani in 2016.
After August 5, 2019, many skeletons have tumbled out. The investigating agencies have brought such facts to fore that have left most of us shell shocked. It has been proven beyond doubt that it was not only the separatists who were involved in turning Kashmir into hell. A few mainstream politicians and the government employees too were fanning the sedition and separatism. As the things are shaping up in coming days it seems many more black sheep will be identified and they will be dealt with sternly. Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of wiping out the anti-national elements and the ones who patronize the elements inimical to peace.
The State task Force headed by J&K’s intelligence chief R.R. Swain, who served for a decade in the Research and Analysis Wing before returning to J&K, has been assigned the job to compile records of terror friendly employees and refer the same to the committee for further action.
The employees who are under scanner include the ones who used to indulge in anti-national propaganda on social media and used to glorify terrorism through their posts. The government’s decision to act against the terror friendly employees has hit the nail on its head.
