Scientist &Head of KVK, Reasi, Dr.Banarsi Lal encouraged the farmers of Reasi and Udhampur distts. to use the ICTs in the best possible way so that KVK, Reasi scientists can solve their field problems and provide them authenticated information at their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Farmers are asking the quarries such as management of insects-pests and diseases in different crops, quality seeds, weed management, post-harvest technologies, marketing etc. through phone calls, Watsapp messages, video calls etc. and KVK scientists are communicating their expertise in an effective manner and providing the relevant information on agricultural crops. In this context ICTs are significant to connect the farmers even from the distantly located areas with the KVK, Reasi experts to clarify their concerns. Farmers have been suggested to follow all the SOPs while performing their field and marketing activities.
