Show Cause Notice: Randhawa clarifies his position before disciplinary committee
5/8/2021 12:14:22 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 7: Amid raging controversy over mining mafia hafta controversy, former MLC and secretary of J&K BJP Vikram Randhawa has cleared his position before the disciplinary committee of the party.
Highly placed sources Randhawa, in his reply to the disciplinary committee, has made it clear that he has not spoken even a single word against BJP. He said that his utterance was only against those who are running the ‘mining mafia’.
“Disciplinary committee will forward reply of Randhawa to J&K president Ravinder Raina and general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul”, sources said and added that decision on the fate of Randhawa will be taken after some days because the party is not unanimous on taking any action against former MLC.
Interestingly, the disciplinary committee had asked Randhawa to give reply to the ‘show cause notice within two weeks but he replied within three days.
Pertinent to mention here that within minutes after his press conference on May 3, the disciplinary committee of BJP had served a show-cause notice to Randhawa and asked him to give a reply within two days.
“This notice of Show Cause initiates disciplinary proceedings against you in line with directions of Jammu Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party President.
While addressing a press conference and a series of media interactions today by you while leveling unfounded allegations against a senior leader of Party holding a responsible position in Union Council of ministers. More so, the unparliamentarily language used by you during this media interaction is highly objectionable”, the show cause notice reads.
