Srinagar, May 7: Sun played hide and seek though maximum temperature remained below normal at most places in Kashmir valley, where majority of the people offered Jumma'tul Vida, the last Friday of holy month of Ramazan, prayers at home in view of unabated rise in COVID-19 cases and deaths. Meanwhile, the night temperature improved and settled above normal at most places in the valley, where wet weather is predicted during the next 48 hours in Kashmir valley. A Met department spokesperson told that light rain and thundershowers would occur at some places during the next 48 hours in Kashmir under the influence of a Western Disturbance (WD), which is active in the region. ''Lightning and thundershowers with gusty winds (30-40 km/hour) could occur at isolated places during the next 48 hours in the valley,'' he added. After witnessing above normal night temperature, people woke up to a sunny Friday morning in Srinagar.
