| SUV falls into gorge, child killed, 3 injured in Poonch | | |
Jammu, May 8: A minor child was killed and three others suffered injuries when an SUV they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police here said that an SUV (JKO2AK-6609) this morning fell into the gorge when the driver lost control of the vehicle at Rajpura link Road in the Mandi area of Poonch district.
Four persons on board the vehicle including a minor were injured and shifted to Sub District Hospital Mandi.
The minor child identified as Abdul Rayees (4), son of Shah Mohammad was declared as brought dead while injured namely Ghulam Qader (35) Imtiaz Ahmed (20) and Sulaman (10), all residents of Azamabad Mohalla Irinar, were referred to District Hospital Poonch.
“The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family for last rites,” police added.
