Early Times Report

Jammu , May 13: Asking the people of J&K to be in touch with BJP leadership for assistance in case of any exigency arising out of COVID-19 related issues, senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta said that his party is standing shoulder to shoulder with populace in fight against coronavirus.
Kavinder said this while chairing a meeting of BJP District unit in which problems being faced by common masses due to COVID-19 were discussed and the line which BJP has to toe to provide succor to the ailing population. Besides, the senior BJP leader in presence of Vinay Gupta, District President, also assigned duties to the party cadre for resolving people’s issues with regard to coronavirus vaccination, availability of oxygen and other related contingencies.
The senior BJP leader said that unlike other political parties, BJP has a track record of developing two-way connect with the people during emergent situations and its cadre from top to bottom was, is and will always remain on forefront to assist people in the time of need. He asked the party cadre to always be on move during these testing times as this could prove to be a savior moment for someone in real need. In a veiled attack on NC and PDP, he said that unlike those political entities which never missed a chance to raise hue and cry on their twitter handles highlighting shortcomings of those who are on ground zero the BJP is a ground level party which is seen in the mohallas, hospitals, vaccine centres, oxygen war rooms and elsewhere, rendering selfless service to humanity during this hour of crisis when even the close relatives are abandoning their near and dear ones due to contagious infection corona. He asked the party-men to also make a sincere effort in educating people about the facts of corona virus and take appropriate steps to control the spread of Covid-19. He categorically said that party-men should not try to seek publicity rather they should make a genuine effort to help the people during this hour of crisis. After assigning the duties, Kavinder asked to create a database of the empowered group to facilitate the people in contacting the cadre and volunteers when need be. Retorting the criticism of other parties, he said that BJP need not any certificate from those parties which have gone into slumber since the day COVID-19 entered the UT of J&K. He said that people are wise enough to gauge who is right and who is not therefore BJP activists should not waste their time and energy in responding to parties which have been exposed long back for being dynastic and highly self-centered rather they should give their 100 percent in providing relief to the people facing the disease and dilemma.
