EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 20: The Executive Committee of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex (JSSC), the Principals’ Organization of all the CBSE Schools of Jammu, had a virtual meeting through Zoom today extending deepest condolences on the sad and untimely demise of the teachers of private as well as government institutions due to Covid-19.
The Executive Committee members deliberated upon a number of issues arising out of these unprecedented pandemic circumstances affecting not only the academic scenario of the schools but the administrative procedures as well. Keeping in view one of the recent incidents happened in one of the reputed CBSE schools; the Executive Committee condemned the selective legal action against the school and the Principal leading to not only the defamation of the school and the Principal but also creating a sense of fear , disbelief and distrust amongst the contributing members of the educational faculty. The Executive Committee further added that no school or it’s Administration would ever think of putting the health, safety or life of its staff at risk as School is a collaborative organization run by various stakeholders out of which teachers and Principals are the predominant pillars and their unconditional contribution to the system is worth appreciation especially during these difficult times of the pandemic. All the Executive Committee members agreed upon the fact that it is only because of the earnest endeavours of the teachers and the Principals that the teaching- learning process didn’t stand still although everything went silent under lockdowns. The Executive Committee deliberated that such kind of legal acts against the Principals, teachers or schools would not only tarnish the image of the educational temples but also demotivate and demoralize the indomitable spirit of the teachers and the Principals working day and night unconditionally for the noble cause of Education.
