JAMMU, May 20: Dr Shahid lqbal Choudhary, a 2009 batch IAS officer of JKUT and a native of Rajouri, posted as Administrative Secretary, Department of Tribal Welfare, was admitted at Ankur Maitrika Multispecialty Hospital on 18th May, with the suspected heart attack, said CEO of the hospital, Narinder Sharma. He was initially attended by Dr Nasir Ali Choudhary and an ECG was done immediately that showed some significant changes in inferior leads. His cardiac biomarkers were also raised, said Dr Nasir. So an urgent Coronary Angiography was done in the middle of night by the team of senior Interventional Cardiologist and HOD, Cardiology, Dr Neeraj Mahajan assisted by Dr Nasir Choudhary that revealed normal coronary (Likely Recanalized Coronaries). The anaesthesia support was provided by Critical Care specialist and Senior Anasthetist, Dr Rohit Gupta and his team. He was kept under close observation and is recovering well. He is likely to be discharged within a day or two. “The heart attack is generally due to blockade of some of the arteries supplying the heart muscles and to have normal arteries after heart attack is quite a rare phenomenon”, explained Dr Mahajan and added that God was very kind to Dr Shahid who had this rare phenomenon of Recanalized Coronaries. |
