Mahajan community in shock over demise of Chaman Lal Gupta

Jammu, May 20: The Mahajan Community has been extremely saddened on the demise of Prof Chaman lal Gupta, son of the soil and an icon of Mahajan community and voice of Jammu people for serving throughout his political life dedicatedly for the people of the country in general and of the J&K Union Territory (erstwhile J&K state) in particular.
The Jammu central Mahajan Sabha today held a condolence meeting at Mahajan Bhawan Shalamar road, Jammu under the chairmanship of Shiv Pratap Gupta senior Vice President which was attended by all the office bearers of the Sabha and many prominent personalities of the Mahajan Community .
In the meeting 2 minutes silence was observed and there after rich tributes were paid to the departed soul. It was prayed that Almighty may bless eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to the aggrieved family members to bear this irreparable loss. It was heavily felt that the void created by his demise can’t be filled in many years to come.
Prof. Chaman Lal is the eldest brother of Romesh Chander Gupta president of Jammu central Mahajan Sabha. In his illustrious political career he was a member of J&K legislative assembly and repeatedly many times member parliament Lok Sabha.
He remained union Minister of state, Ministry of civil aviation , union Minister of state ( independent Charge) ministry of food processing industry and union minister of state for Defence in NDA central Government.
The prominent personalities who were present in the meeting included Yash Paul Gupta, Rattan Lal Gupta ( adv. ),Prof. J.K Gupta, Amar Chand Gupta, Om prakash Mahajan(kaku shah) , Harinder Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Sanjay Mahajan, Prabhdayal Gupta, Rajesh Choudhary, Jugal Kishore, Anil Gupta, Parveen Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Subash Gupta, Ravinder Gupta, C.P Gupta, Dr. Mohan Lal Gupta, Mukesh Mahajan, Balbir Gupta, Satish Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Sudarshan Gupta, Yash paul Gupta, Romesh Gupta and others. Shiv Pratap Gupta ( Sr. Vice President) Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha.
