Jammu, Jun 1: Krsihi Vigyan Kendra, Jammu working under dynamic leadership of Prof J P Sharma Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu and able guidance of Dr S K Gupta organized Webinar on the occasion of World Milk Day along with panel discussion of on Guiding principles to make dairy industry successful.
Prof J P Sharma, Vice Chancellor SKAUST-Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr J P Sharma in his key note address put forth the importance of Dairy sector in improving the overall ecocomy of the farmering community.
He further stressed upon adoption of processing beyond after production. Professor Sharma appreciated the efforts of scientists of KVK Jammu for its outreach during the crucial times of CVOVID-19 pandamic.
Prof S K Gupta, Director Extension SKUAST Jammu eloborated upon the value added product and their role in enhancing farmer’s income. Sh Kulbushan Khajuria Member Board of Management SKUAST-J putforth the various issues of the farming community involved in dairy sector in Jammu.
Er A H Wani Seceratry J&K state advisory Board for Development of Kisans briefed the delegates about the various government sector Schemes being run in the state for development of dairy and other agriculture and allied sector.
At the outset Dr Punit Choudhary Sr Scientist and Head Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jammu welcomed all the dignitaries in to the webinar. Dr M A Tak CEO LDB, Dr Altaf Chief Animal Husbandary Officer, Jammu, Dr Bazaz Extension Officer Animal husbandary Department, Vikrant Dogra, Seceratry J&K, Dairy Producers, Processors and marketing Cooperative Union LTD, Livestock development officers from Jammu and Progressive farmers also spoke on the occasion.
