Jammu, June 1: Today a Shardhanjali gathering was organised by Corporator Anil Massom to pay tribute to Amarnath Bhagat on his 51th Balidaan Diwas at Shalamar Park near Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
After paying tribute to Amarnath Bhagat and remembering his sacrifice in the history of J&K, Corporator Anil Massom said that Amarnath Bhagat has played a vital role as earlier after the formation of Indian Constitution, the reservation rights were implemented all over India except J&K. So after the sacrifice of Amarnath Bhagat the government was made aware and reservation rights were implemented in J&K as well. Also a hawan was organised to pray the almighty to save this world from this corona virus Pandemic.
He further appealed the general public to follow the lockdown as it has been implemented for their safety only and not to wander outside needlessly and wear masks and practice social distancing while at a public place.
Surinder Bhagat, Mahant Puri, Satish Pandit, Prabhu Dyal, Sunny Lakhotra, Billal Choudhry, Surjeet, L.D Gorkha , Joginder, Devi Das and other prominent members were also present. |
