Burning issues of teaching fraternity discussed

Jammu, June 1: under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria Chairman JKTF, a UT level online meeting conducted in which representatives of JKTF from all districts of Jammu and Kashmir participated.
During meeting all representative of districts highlighted issues of their Districts. Threadbare discussions were held on several burning issues of the teaching fraternity which includes, providing relief to next kins of teaching officials who lost their lives against deadly decease (Covid-19), by providing benefits under SRO -43 and full pensionary benefits. Forum members demanded early vaccination for the officals of Education department who are performing their duties on COVID-19 sites putting their life at high risk and also for all teaching officals who are performing different kinds of duties on priority basis.
Teachers deputed for duty at COVID Sites should be nearest to home. All employees of Education department should be covered under insurance policy.
It was demanded that all the teaching officials should be designated as Covid warriors, who are performing their duties by putting their life on stake, and should be provided safety materials like sanitizer and PPE kits and the staff of Education Department should be utilized on rotation basis.
