| NSS Unit-1 GGM College celebrates International Yoga day | | |

Jammu, June 26: In connection with the International Yoga day NSS Unit I of GGM Science College a webinar on the theme Yoga at home and Yoga with family was held here today. The webinar organised under the supervision of Dr. Narinder Kumar NSS coordinator and guidance of principle Dr. R.K.Tickoo to sensitize the students to raise awareness about the importance of yoga and to inspire positive approach towards the yoga practice for the health and well being. Dr.Ashiq Hussain who was chief guest stressed upon the audience to adopt yoga as passion with slogan each one teach one. In this way, yoga percolate to each family and society as whole.
S.K Jain a well known yoga expert, and gold medalist was the main resource person on the occasion. In his lecture, Jain threw a detailed light on the history, Importance, and steps to be taken to adopt and continue the practice of yoga day to day life.
During his interaction, while focusing on the importance of yoga, he added that the adoption and continuance of yoga is the need of the hour so that we can remain healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. He further added that the youth and students, especially NSS volunteers can play pivotal role to spread awareness among masses about the significances of yoga. He underlined that this day is celebrated every year to disseminate information about the objectives of yoga and to recognized the contribution of different voluntary unpaid organizations to make the world diseases free.
