Chairman, NHPC on three day visit to Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: A.K. Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC reached Kishtwar on a three-day visit on Thursday evening. Singh and his wife Sudha Singh were given a grand welcome on their arrival at Chenab Bhawan guest house of Dulhasti Power Station by Nirmal Singh, General Manager (In-Charge), Dulhasti Power Station and senior officers and employees of NHPC and CVPPPL. On this visit, A.K. Choudhary, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt. Limited (CVPPPL) and Rajan Kumar, Regional Head, NHPC Regional Office Jammu also accompanied him. On this occasion, a tree plantation program was organized in the Chenab Bhawan guest house premises this morning. In the program A.K. Singh and Sudha Singh planted saplings. A.K. Chaudhary, Rajan Kumar and his wife also planted saplings. A.K. Singh also met Farooq Khan, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir at the Chenab Bhawan guest house and discussed various issues related to the development of hydro projects in Kishtwar district. During this, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, District Kishtwar was also present. Thereafter, the CISF personnel presented guard of honor to A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC.
