JAMMU, July 7: At simple but impressive function, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Ahmad Khan, released I.D. Soni's book "ANECDOTES THAT INSPIRE". Prof Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha presided over the function.
The 280-page bi-lingual book is unique in many ways. Apart from the historic, religious and social anecdotes which have meaningful and constructive messages for youth on currently lost values, the book also contains inspiring saga of legendary figures of yesteryears like great philosophers, saints, seers, sufis etc and holy scriptures of different religions that focus on harmony, peaceful co-existence and moral values.

He said that Soni has presented before the society 'a feast of his subtle story telling skills' that would be welcomed equally by children and adults. He lauded the vision of the author who has also given his views in his book about the kind of education our children need, role of teachers, importance of peaceful co-existence and connected relevant issues.
Prof Magotra described the book released as an exceptionally a useful document, not only for students but for everyone as it contained very briefly but forcefully the message of humanity, equality, simplicity, honesty & sincerity which he himself pursued all through his life. This message conveyed in the book valuable and historic anecdotes and other sayings of legendary thinkers, philosophers, saints, kings and social reformers which are relevant more today than in the past.
