National Lok Adalat decides 4791 cases in Jammu

JAMMU, July 10: On the direction of Chairman National Legal Services Authority and under the aegis of Executive Chairman J&K Legal Services Authority, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, a National Lok Adalat was held today in the District Court Complex, Janipur Jammu under the Chairmanship of M. L Manhas, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu and under the overall supervision of Yahaya Firdous, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Jammu.
A total 5394 cases were taken up, out of which 4791 cases were decided and an amount of Rs 402506940 was settled in the Lok Adalat.
Thirteen( 13) benches were constituted in District Jammu with Nine ( 9) benches at District Court Complex, Janipur Jammu, two benches at R.S. Pura and one bench each at Bishnah and Akhnoor .
The First Bench comprising M.L. Manhas, Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge and R.S. Jasrotia, Presiding Officer, MACT, with Panel Lawyer Kamal Magotra as member dealt with MACT cases. The Second Bench comprising Ashwani Sharma, 1st Addl. Distt. & Sessions Judge Jammu and Syed Sarfraz Hussain Shah, Addl. Distt. Judge Bank Cases Jammu with Pratima Singh Panel Lawyer as member heard bank cases.
Third Bench comprising Kusum Pandita Pr. Judge Family Court Jammu and S.S. Bali Addl. Judge Family Court Jammu with Deepali Arora Panel Lawyer as member dealt with Matrimonial cases. Forth Bench comprising Ritesh Kumar Dubey, Addl. Sessions Judge Anti Corruption Jammu and Umesh Sharma Excise Magistrate Jammu with Adv. Beauty Pandita Panal Lawyer as member dealt with Civil Cases. Fifth bench constituted to deal with Municipal & Revenue cases consisted of Parvin Pandoh, Municipal Magistrate Jammu and Susheel Singh Sub Judge / Spl. Mobile Magistrate (13F.C) with Manjeet Pratap Singh Panel Lawyer as Member. Sixth Bench , comprising Manjeet Rai, City Judge Jammu, Raj Kumar Sub Judge Railway Magistrate Jammu and Adv. Maheen Shah Panel Lawyer as member was constituted to deal with cases U/s 138 N I Act Cases, Criminal Compoundable Offences & others. Seventh Bench comprising Arti Mohan Electricity Magistrate Jammu and Shabnam Sheikh Forest magistrate 1st Addl. Munsiff jammu with Panel Lawyer Leena Devi as member was constituted to deal with Electricity, Water and other Civil Cases. Eighth Bench comprising Khem Raj Sharma Spl. Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax Jammu and Vinod Kumar Spl. Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Jammu along with Adv. Vinayak Phull Panel Lawyer as member dealt with Criminal Compoundable Offences and other cases. Ninth Bench Constituting Jeewan Kumar 2nd Addl. Munsiff Jammu and Bhanu Bhasin Addl. Mobile Magistrate Traffic jammu with Adv. Richa Gupta Panel Lawyer as member dealt with Criminal compoundable offences and other cases.
In R.S.Pura, Tenth Bench comprising of Sidhant Vaid Munsiff/ JMIC R.S.Pura and Panel Lawyer Adv. Kesar Parveen as member and Eleventh Bench comprising of Suhasni Vasisatha, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate R.S.Pura with Adv. Jyoti Bala Panel Lawyer as member were constituted to deal with Civil Cases /criminal compoundable offences, N I Act Cases and other Cases.
Similarly at Bishnah Bench Number Twelve comprising Ananta Raina Munsiff / JMIC Bishnah and Adv. Rajni Bala Panel Lawyer as member was constituted and Bench Number Thirteen comprising of Himani Parihar Munsiff / JMIC Akhnoor and with Adv. Meetika Sharma Panel Lawyer as member was constituted at Akhnoor to deal with with Civil Cases /Criminal compoundable offences, N I Act Cases and other Cases.
