SRINAGAR, July 10: With 355 COVID-19 patients recovering in the past 24 hours the recovery rate in Jammu & Kashmir reached 97.65 percent. The union territory reported 185 new cases following which the total number of positive cases reached 3, 18,649; with two fresh deaths the death toll reached 4,356. Srinagar reported 41 new cases followed by Jammu district 22, Doda district 16, Kupwara district 15, Ganderbal district 13, Budgam, Pulwama and Rajouri districts 11 cases each, Kishtwar district nine, Anantnag district six, Bandipora and Ramban districts five each, Baramulla and Kathua districts four each, Kulgam, Udhampur and Poonch districts three each, Shopian district two and Samba district one case. The Jammu & Kashmir administration through the media bulletin informed that 185 new positive cases of novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), 74 from Jammu division and 111 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 3, 18,469. Also two COVID-19 death have been reported, one each from Jammu and Kashmir divisions. Moreover, 355 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 104 from Jammu division and 251from Kashmir division. Besides this, 97.74 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu & Kashmir. Out of 3, 18,469 positive cases, 3,128 are active positive, 3, 10,985 have recovered and 4,356 have died; 2,126 in Jammu division and 2,230 in Kashmir division. Out of 1, 05, 60,499 test results available, 1, 02, 42,030 samples have tested negative till date. Till date 25, 39,145 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7,051 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 3,128 in isolation and 2, 70,781 in home surveillance. Besides, 22, 53,829 persons have completed their surveillance period. The bulletin said that Srinagar has 70,610 positive cases, 607 active positive, 69,171 recovered, 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23,386 positive cases, 190 active positive, 22,916 recovered, 280 deaths; Budgam has 22,724 positive cases, 161 active positive, 22,359 recovered, 204 deaths; Anantnag has 16,223 positive cases, 94 active positive, 15,925 recovered, 204 deaths; Pulwama has 15,010 positive cases, 113 active positive, 14,704 recovered, 193 deaths. “Kupwara has 13,939 positive cases, 146 active positive, 13,628 recovered, 165 deaths; Kulgam has 11,172 positive cases, 117 active positive, 10,938 recovered, 117 deaths; Ganderbal has 9,732 positive cases, 156 active positive, 9,499 recovered, 77 deaths; Bandipora has 9,374 positive cases, 75 active positive, 9,199 recovered, 100 deaths and Shopian has 5,567 positive cases, nine active positive, 5,500 recovered, 58 deaths,” reads the bulletin. The bulletin said that Jammu has 52,548 positive cases, 449 active positive, 50,961 recovered, 1,138 deaths; Udhampur has 11,229 positive cases, 57 active positive, 11,040 recovered, 132 deaths; Rajouri has 10,798 positive cases, 92 active positive, 10,484 recovered, 222 deaths; Kathua has 9,232 positive cases, 14 active positive, 9,069 recovered, 149 deaths; Samba has 7,097 positive cases, 48 active positive, 6,930 recovered, 119 deaths. “Doda has 7,041 positive cases, 223 active positive, 6,697 recovered, 121 deaths; Poonch has 6,169 positive cases, 122 active positive, 5,953 recovered, 94 deaths; Reasi has 6,160 positive cases, 297 active positive, 5,820 recovered, 43 deaths; Ramban has 5,906 positive cases, 75 active positive, 5,766 recovered, 65 deaths and Kishtwar has 4,552 positive cases, 83 active positive, 4,426 recovered, 43 deaths,” reads the bulletin. Out of 3, 18,469 positive cases in J&K, 22,678 have been reported as travelers. The bulletin has informed the people that the best way to protect themselves from COVID-19 is by maintaining physical distance of at least two meters from others, frequently cleaning hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer or washing them with soap and water and following good respiratory etiquette and hygiene. As a measure for social distancing in public places and workplaces wearing a face cover is compulsory. |
