Vishal Khatri Sabha hails successful visit of Delimitation Commission team to J&K | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 10: Vishal Khatri Sabha J&K on Saturday welcomed the step taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by sending Delimitation Commission team to J&K and expressed hope that meeting will have fruitful results. In a meeting held here in Jammu, Vishal Khatri Sabha J&K President Devender Seth clzimed that initiative will provide a political platform to mainstream leaders so that parties can participate in elections. This is a great initiative and the response of political parties too has been good. This is actually a victory for democracy and we are hoping that soon the delimitation will be done and an election held to put in place an elected government, added Seth. We extend heartfelt thank to PM Modi and HM Amit Shah for giving a platform to the leaders of Jammu to put forward their concerns and issues. Seth observed that dialogue is the key to resolve all outstanding issues and Sabha believes this alone is the way forward to address the issues. We demand jobs, land security, tourism, economic development in J&K. We are hopeful that the delimitation process will get pace and soon it will be completed and then there will be elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Moreover, we demand statehood status back and look forward towards the initiation of a political process in Jammu and Kashmir so that the issues and demands of people of Jammu can be addressed. The Centre needs to look after this seriously and make serious efforts to assuage the aspirations of Jammuites, added Seth. He said that to reconstitute Assembly Constituencies in J&K on a justifiable basis of population and areas shows the resolve of the BJP Govt to undo the mistakes and set right the discrimination and injustice done to a section of population in J&K and enforce freedom and real democracy in J&K.Seth urged LG Administration to spend more time on the grassroots level to understand ground realities and sentiments. |
