JKCCTU express concern over meter reading and other data through a e-Utility App | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 10: Jammu Kashmir Co-ordination committee of Trade Union held a general body meeting of jammu province today at Miran sahib which was presided over by Raj Kumar Vice President. The meeting expressed its serious concern over the decision of the Jammu authorities to impose the decision on Field staff especially Meter Readers to collect the Meter Reading and other data through a e-Utility App of IT cell which is not workable practically on the ground. Gurmeet Singh General secretary JKCCTU while addressing the meeting said that the authorities has failed to installed the meters fully especially in the rural areas and to collect the revenue through meter reading is not possible resulting in confusion and chaotic situation. He demanded the authorities to withdraw this decision and ensure the installation of metering first to all consumers and then implement this decision which is workable otherwise the field staff will face the unnecessary problems and the revenue may also suffer. The others who spoke on the occasion were Surinder Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Ravinder Singh and Arvinderpal. |
