Nitu Gupta, Additional Commissioner State Taxes Department was also present in the meeting.
While Interacting on the occasion Arun Gupta informed the Commissioner State Taxes Department that at the time of introduction of GST the business community was told that this is a good and simple tax but now some heads of the department have complicated this GST as they are involved in imposing huge penalties to the traders with some minor technical issues.
Arun Gupta also demanded the reimbursement of GST to the Industrial Units which are pending since more than two years. Chamber also demanded that VAT Amnesty which was announced earlier was not availed by some traders due to Covid-19 Pandemic as such the period of availing amnesty should be extended further.
