Deputy Mayor takes stock of damages at Kalika colony

JAMMU, July 12: Advocate Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) took review of the damages caused by rains at Kalika Colony in ward 48.
Deputy Mayor assured the residents of the damaged properties that they would be relocated to the nearest safe shelter of JMC. Later, she discussed the situation with the Deputy Commissioner Jammu and the Commissioner JMC. She further said that she will try her best to provide whatever relief is possible to the sufferers (Residents of the damaged houses).
Sharma also provided immediate relief to the 10 sufferer families by distributing essential supplies including 100kg Atta, 110 kg rice, Mush Dal 5 kg, dal chana 5 kg, oil 12 litres, salt 10kg, Haldi and mirchi 4 kg each, biscuit packets and 60 blankets at the Relief Shelter where the sufferers have been shifted.
Deputy Mayor appealed masses not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are still on the rise and only to go out when it's important and while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
Sham Lal Corporator Ward no. 48, Sh. Rakesh SC UEED and his team of engineers and other locals of the area also accompanied the Hon'ble Deputy Mayor.
