Narco terror bigger threat to India: Amit Shah | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 12: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that the whole country is worried about the ill effects of drugs on the society. While addressing a function after inaugurating the newly built Center of Excellence for Research & Analysis of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances of the National Forensic Science University in Ahmedabad, Shah said that narco terror was another threat to India, the money it generates is used for terrorism. The Union Home Minister said that the whole country ws worried about the ill effects of drugs on our society, security and economy. “The Government of India under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi has decided that we will not allow narcotics substances to enter India”, he said, adding, “For this, in the last two years under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we have taken many steps. It is also very important to stop this”. “Our police are accused of no action and extreme action and the police are caught between these two. We need just action, natural action and this can happen only when scientists proceed with the investigation based on evidence.”, he said and added that it was very important to move forward in this direction. “To make criminal justice system of the country more powerful and result-oriented, very important to take make this University the best in the country”, he said, adding, “The era of use of third-degree is over and now the toughest of criminals can be brought to justice on the basis of the scientific investigation”. He further added that the fight against cyberwar and cybercrime was very important for us, cybersecurity is very important for the security of India and to meet the goal of the Prime Minister’s five trillion-dollar economy. |
