Cyber Police Jammu nabs two fraudsters from Kurukshetra in online job fraud case

JAMMU, July 12: Cyber Police Station Jammu succeeded in apprehending two fraudsters involved in 4.68 Lacs rupees online job fraud case. FIR number 16/2021 u/s 66D IT Act, 420 IPC was registered in this regard at Cyber Police Station Jammu.
The accused are Parveen@ Pinnu S/o Munshi Ram R/o Tilak Gali, Thanesar Kurukshetra, Haryana and Arun S/o samaspal R/o Laxman Colony Kurukshetra Haryana. On 11-04-2021, complainant Priya Raina reported at Cyber Police Station Jammu that she was duped by unknown fraudsters on the pretext of online job fraud.
The complainant got trapped and lost Rs 4.68 lacs in multiple transactions from different banks. During the course of investigation I/O succeeded in identifying the fraudsters who are wrongful beneficiary of the complainant's defrauded hard earned money. The SP Cyber Police Station after ascertaining the locations of both the accused deputed a team headed by Inspector Vikram Sharma to apprehend the accused.
The team acting swiftly arrested both the accused from Kurukshetra Haryana. Both the accused were brought at Cyber Police Station Jammu after completing all legal procedures. Police is also searching for other fraudsters involved in the commission of the offence. SP Cyber police Jammu Naresh Singh has appealed the general public not to share any bank OTP, UPI PIN etc and never get lured with cheap online offers floating on social media and other online platforms offering products with unjustified and cheaper price.
