JKCCTU stages protest against government

SRINAGAR, July 15: J&K Co- ordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) held protest demonstrations today both at Srinagar Press colony and outside Press Club Jammu for redressal of their demands.
The stressed for immediate releasing of freeze instalments of DA, regularisation and wage policy for all temporary workers, Filling up of all vacancies in Govt. Departments and appointment of additional staff to ease the workload on the staff fighting the pandemic, Releasing of pending wages of all the temporary workers espacially to the Helper to Supervisors of ICDS, Free and Mass vacination drive to protect the people from pandamic and ensuring Trade Union, democratic and Labour rights, etc. The protest rallies were organised as a Nation wide call of All India State Govt. Employees Federations( AISGEF).
Md. Maqbool National Secretary AISGEF & President JKCCTU while addressing the gathering at Srinagar highlighted the recent Anti working class measures of the present Central Govt. and UT adminstration in J&K and said that by using Covid Pandamic as a tool has made the life of common people espacially the workers class extremely miserable. The failure to check the sky rocketing prices of essential commodities, alarming un employement, freezing of DA installements of Govt. Employees and pensioners, massive drive of privatization, outsourcing and disinvestment of PSU,s and Govt departments and gross failure in providing the substantial relief to the people loosing their jobs and mass vacinations to check the pandamic coupled with deeping economic crises has created a widespread resentment among the people espacially the working class.
He demanded the immediate releasing of Pending DA Installments of Govt employees and pensioners, wage and regularisation policy for all Casual contract ,Aganwadi, Asha and other temporary workers and releasing of their pending salary before Eid espacially to the Helper to supervisors of ICDS deptt. He also urged the employees and workers to understand the present grave challenges arising out of the present desaustrious policies of the ruling class and maintain their unity and intensify the struggle in coming days unitedly. The other speakers who addressed the rally at Srinagar were Haji Gh, Md, Hura Ji, Moneer ahmad Khan, Gh Nabi Reshi sr, leaders of Jkcctu and others.
Similarly the protest rally at Jammu was addressed by Gurmeet Singh Gen. Secretary JKCCTU. He while addressing outside the press club at jammu said that the Central Govt. alongwith the UT administrations is refusing to formulate the wage and regularisation policy for temporary workers and also filling of vacant post instead privatizing the essential services like Electricity, water Health and other key sectors and helping the corporates to loot the public resources. He demanded the mass vacination and ensuring the Trade Union, democratic and Labour rights and enhancement of Minimum wages not less than Rs 21000/pm. The other sr, leaders who addressed at jammu were Surinder Ji, Raj Kumar Ajay Sharna, Zakir Hussain, Rukhsana Ji and others.
