Early Times Report JAMMU, July 15: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) on thursday appealed to the lieutenant Governor to release 11 per cent DA for JKUT employees and pensioners as the same has already been released by the Central Government to its employees and pensioners. "We demand release of 11 per cent DA in favour of JKUT employees and pensioners. DA is the part of salary and routine financial matter and as such there should be no hitch in releasing it," NMC President Subash Shastri said while addressing the workers here on thursday. Hailing the decision of Central Government in releasing the 11 percent DA as the employee's friendly ,Shastri hoped that this much needed decision of the government would alleviate the financial sufferings of employees/ pensioners caused by Covid crisis. He also demanded exemption of DA from ambit of income tax as it is linked with price index. Shastri further reiterated separate wage head for regularly disbursement of monthly salary of daily rated workers till their regularization, enhancement of their wages to Rs 600 per day, regularizing their services under SRO 64, setting up Labour Welfare Board, implementation of all Central laws in the UT besides granting medical allowance of pensioners to Rs 1000 per month at par with Central Government Among others who were present on the occasion included Rajan babu khajuria, BS Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Saranch Sukhdev Singh, Mohd.
