Congress seeks SC monitored probe into phone hacking gate

JAMMU, July 20: Jammu and Kashmir Congress Party has condemned the snoop gate of opposition leaders, top journalists, Constitutional functionaries and others including some Ministers and demanded high level Independent probe monitored by Supreme Court and decided to hold protest on Thursday.
A meeting of senior functionaries of PCC, District Presidents, frontal wings took strong exception to the worst ever assault on democracy and freedom of the individuals as well as national security. This is first time in the independent history that such an incident has been reported and the Govt. has been at the back of such a happening, as the Israel base Spyware has said that it does not supply or sell its product to any private agency.
The party decided to hold strong protest against Modi Govt. seeking negotiation of Home Minister Amit Sah and SC monitored investigation, on Thursday in Jammu.
Those who attended the meeting include Vice Presidents and Former Ministers Shri Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, Kanta Bhan, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Th. Balwan Singh, Th. Manmohan Singh, Hari Singh Chib, Sanjeev Panda, Suresh Dogra (Adv.) representatives of Minority Deptt, Jagjit Singh, Natrinder Gupta (Sports Cell) and others.
