CAHO Jammu organizes awareness camp

JAMMU, July 20: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Jammu organized an awareness camp at Arnia for the farmers.
According to press release, on the directions of CAHO Dr. Syed Altaf Ali and live stock development officer animal husbandry department RS Pura Dr. VR Moten, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal vety Assistant Surgeon RCD Centre Arnia the camp was organized.
During the camp about 120 farmers participated in presence of Chairman Municipal Committee Arnia Ramesh Saini. During the camp some deworming medicine were distributed on spot and farmers were made aware regarding various parasitic infestations (ECTO and ENDO) their harmful effects such as infertility, anemia, debility, anorexia, decrease milk production among animals and it's control measures.
During the camp the farmers were briefed the 2nd Vishal Pashudhan Mela which is being organised by the department of animal husbandry at sport stadium Hiranagar district Kathua on 28 and 29th Jully 2021. During the camp the farmers were educated about the various activities of the department. Moreover the farmers are showing their consent to participate in the said Mela.
