National Awardee actor Vikrant features in Natrang's Theatre Talk Show

JAMMU, July 20: 'Young Voices of Theatre', a unique National Theatre Talk Show by Natrang today featured son of the soil, Vikrant Sharma who is Sangeet Natak Akademi's Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Awardee theatre actor, he shared his inspirational views with the global audience at the Facebook page of Natrang Jammu.
Vikrant Sharma is a dedicated theatre actor and trainer associated with eminent theatre group Natrang since 1992. He is best known for his excellent character, he portrayed in the Dogri play 'Ghumayee' of Padamshree Balwant Thakur, which revered standing ovation in Russia and Germany. He has acted in more than 70 plays. He has the credit of participating in more than 80 National Theatre Festivals organized by the prestigious organizations In the year 2007 he started his career as RJ with 92.7 BIG FM's Jalandhar Station and secured the top position in the competition market. A sincere, meticulous theatre actor, Vikrant is presently working in 92.7 BIG FM as Cluster Head J&K, Punjab, Himachal and Haryana stations.
In an engaging conversation with Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee actor and Nartang's senior artist Anil Tickoo, Vikrant narrated his eventful journey of theatre which started in his early childhood with the performance of Natrang's popular children play 'Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai' under the direction of Balwant Thakur and he never looked back again. Theatre has been a vital part of his life since then. He expressed his gratitude towards Natrang and his colleagues for enriching his personality and providing immense exposure so that even being not academically qualified in theatre, he has a clear conviction and self-developed methodology to prepare for the assigned characters.
Vikrant also believes in maintaining a balance between the theatre which is done for self-satisfaction only and the kind of theatre which aims at the entertainment of audience only.
