J&K: IED found in Rajouri, difused | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 31: An improvised explosive device was found along the roadside which was later diffused by the joint teams of police and army in Saturday morning in Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that information was received in the early hours from reliable sources about suspicious movement in the areas of Bathuni and Dalogra. “A joint search operation was immediately launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police,” police said adding that during the cordon and search operation, the search party detected an improvised explosive device. “The traffic was suspended while the IED was subsequently diffused by the Bomb Disposal Squad of the Jammu and Kashmir Police,” they said. Further search of the areas is underway. In relation to this, FIR No. 514/2021 under section 3/4 of the Indian Explosives Act, S. 120B IPC has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and an investigation has been initiated. |
