Monthly meeting of Congress committee held

Jammu, Aug 8: The monthly meeting of Akhnoor Congress Committee was held today at Akhnoor under the leadership of Congress leader Satish Sharma. The committee members discussed and raised the issues & problems being faced by the people of Akhnoor constituency.
Addressing the congress members Satish Sharma said that the public is suffering due to absence of elected government in Jammu and Kashmir. The border belt people are continuously suffering due to shortage of electricity & irrigation water.
The administration is not visible in any part of Jammu and people have been left alone to suffer at their own but workers of congress party will stand and fight for the rights of the people.
Prices of food items are increasing day by day due to govt apathy towards controlling price rise instead govt is regularly increasing fuel prices which indirectly causes inflation. He again raised the issue daily wagers & pathetic condition of the jourian to palanwala road and appealed to the administration to resolve this issue at the earliest and if they didn’t start the work quickly then administration has to face the resentment of the people and they will gherao their offices.
Satish said that statehood should be restored immediately &assembly elections should be held at the earliest in J&K so that a democratically elected government can function and solve the problems being faced by the people of state.
Appointments of new functionaries was also announced in which Baldev Raj Bhagat (Ex.ZEO) as Working President Akhnoor Assembly, Vice President Mohan Lal Bhagat, General secretary Sanjeev Kumar, Maira Mandarian Block Working President Darshan Lal(Ex. CISF), Vice President S. Jaswant Singh, Vice President Joginder Lal Bhutto, Assembly Chief Spokesperson KC Bhagat (Ex.Prinicipal) , Spokesperson Gain Chand, Spokesperson Krishan Dutt were announced. Speaking to the workers Kuldeep Verma Former Vice Chairman OBC Board J&K Govt. said that all of the people of Jammu will have to unite and fight for their rights or else like some local traders have been wiped out from certain trades and outsiders have captured those trades similarly all trades will have the same fate if BJP is not stopped from destroying J&K.
