DODA, Aug 8: The inter District under nineteen Volleyball Tournament held to mark the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav (India @75) concluded today, here at Sports Stadium Doda.
The concluding function was attended by the Chief Guest District Youth Service and Sports Officer Jaffar Haider Sheikh. Ashok Kumar PEL, Raj Bhushan PEL, Kishori Lal Thakur ZPEO Doda, Ved Parkash ZPEO Assar and others were also present.
The tournament was organised by the Department of Youth Service and Sports Doda on the instructions of Director Youth Services and Sports, Mohammad Ashraf Batt and under the guidance of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jaffar Haider Sheikh and under the Supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Doda Kishori Lal Thakur.
The First semi-final match was played between Zone Bhallesa and Zone Thathri which was won by Zone Bhallesa by 2-0 sets, while the second semi- final was won by Zone Doda by defeating Zone Bhatyas 2-0 sets. In the final match between Zone Doda and Zone Bhallesa, zone Doda won by 3-1 sets.
