REASI, Aug 8: District Administration Reasi has decided to develop Herbal gardens at subdivision, block and Panchayat levels in the district.
Deputy Commissioner, Charandepp Singh said that dedicated staff would be deployed to nurture the planted trees. He was speaking at the launch of plantation and cleanliness drive in District Administrative Complex organised by the Horticulture department in collaboration with agriculture and Forest department as part of ongoing Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Additional District Development Commissioner Jyoti Slathia; Chief Planning Officer Sunita Kanchan; Project Officer ICDS Renu Kumari; ACD Anirudh Rai; ACR Sanjay Badyal; CEO Mohammad Aziz; CAO, DYSSO, CHO Brij vallabh Gupta, besides other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
After cleaning the area, Medicinal plants viz amla, Moringa, Reed, Soap nut, Arjuna, were planted by the district officers with an aim to set up a herbal garden in the premises of DC office. It is pertinent to mention here that district administration has decided to hold series of events as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which will include Plantation drive, Cleanliness drive, online painting competition, Singing of National anthem in all the government and educational institutions, Heritage walk, Cycle rally, Badminton competition, Nukkad nataks, Cultural events, felicitation of veer Naris and army veterans including formation of National flags and Map of India by students.
