NGO organizes plantation drive | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Aug 17: A plantation drive was organized by Global Human Rights Trust in collaboration with Sanjeevani Jan Kalyan Seva Samiti at Sankari,Meer of Block and Tehsil Panchari, District Udhampur. "The temperature of the earth is increasing and badly affected climate. The world is afraid of climate change. There is the only way which our saints and 'puranas' had told us that trees are friends of human and only trees can save us. Indian culture has accepted the importance of trees and encouraged it," Khajur Singh Founder Sanjeevani Jan Kalyan said." During the event, Sanjeev Singh Secretary Global Human Rights said, "that to combat drought challenges, degraded lands have to be covered with indigenous tree plantations to protect the environment and climate change issues of the country and this mobilization for tree plantation would be helpful for the community to adopt and plant trees at their household level." |
