| SDM RS Pura visits block areas | | |  Early Times Report
RS PURA, Aug 20: SDM RS Pura Ram Lal, made an extensive tour of Block RS Pura district Jammu today and interacted with the farmers of the area.
He was accompanied by Horticulture Development Officer, Dheeraj Sharma who appraised him regarding progress of different centrally sponsored schemes as well as CAPEX budget particularly fruit plantation. He informed that total area of 345 kanal, under fruit plants cultivation has already been covered in this block where 6900 plants have been planted at R. S. Pura in different village.
The SDM apprised farmers to take maximum benefit from the schemes of Horticulture department HDO elaborated the schemes of the Department of Horticulture and guided farmers to take benefit from upcoming strawberry plantation scheme in detail and highlighted that Rs. 13000/ kanal incentive to the farmers will boost cultivation of strawberry in district Jammu and will develop into Strawberry Hub. He also gathered information from the farmers about problems faced by them regarding the said scheme.
