JAMMU, Aug 20: A man on Friday morning assaulted the lady to death and injured her husband and son in a fit of anger over some family dispute in Digiana area here.
Police said that Head Constable Bhupinder Singh, attacked his son-in-law and his parents with sharp edged weapons.
"For the past sometime, daughter of accused was having estranged relations with her husband, which led to the dispute," police said.
They said that on Friday, the accused, brutally attacked his son-in-law Amandeep Singh, 37, his parents Rajinder Singh, 64 and Shakuntla Kaur, 60.
The woman had died on the spot, police said.
"Injured persons were rushed to the hospital and the accused has been taken into custody," police said.
A case is registered and investigation is taken up. |
