COVID Appropriate Behaviour awareness programme held | | | EArly Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 20: In an effort to raise awareness among the general public about various precautionary measures to stay safe from the deadly Coronavirus infection, an awareness programme on COVID Appropriate Behaviour was today held here at Sunderbani. The awareness programme was organised jointly by the District Information Centre Rajouri and the Health Department. During the programme, the participants were apprised that the Government is working on a five-fold strategy of Testing, Tracing, Treatment, Covid-appropriate behaviour and vaccination which would be effective in curbing the spread of the pandemic and awareness of the community and its involvement is paramount for sustainable COVID-19 management. The participants were informed that the more we follow COVID Appropriate Behaviours, the more we can help break the chain of COVID-19 transmission. The participants were also briefed about a number of ways to safeguard oneself from the Coronavirus Infection. They were appealed to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour to shield themselves from the viral infection as this is the only and the best tool to fight against the pandemic. The people were urged to wear masks while going out of their homes, maintain physical distance and avoid visiting crowded places. Those who had even mild symptoms should undergo COVID-19 test as the District Administration has put in place arrangements to conduct a minimum of required tests a day to ensure early intervention. Block Medical Officer Sunderbani; Dr Manzoor Hussain; Social workers from Sunderbani including Shisupal Gupta; Vinod Raina; Joginder Gupta; Darshan Verma and staff of the Health Department were present during the awareness programme.
